On the Non-homogeneity of Completely Positive Cones

چکیده

For a closed cone C in Rn, the completely positive cone of C is the convex cone K in Sn generated by {uuT : u ∈ C}. Completely positive cones arise, for example, in the conic LP reformulation of a nonconvex quadratic minimization problem over an arbitrary set with linear and binary constraints. Motivated by the useful and desirable properties of the nonnegative orthant and the positive semidefinite cone (and more generally of symmetric cones in Euclidean Jordan algebras), in this paper, we investigate when (or whether) K can be self-dual, irreducible, or homogeneous.

Assessment of the Characteristics of MRI Coils in Terms of RF Non-Homogeneity Using Routine Spin Echo Sequences

Introduction: One of the major causes of image non-uniformity in MRI is due to the existence of  non-homogeneity in RF receive and transmit. This can be the most effective source of error in  quantitative  studies  in  MRI  imaging.  Part  of  this  non-homogeneity  demonstrates  the  characteristics of RF coil and part of it is due to the interaction of RF field with the material being  imaged...

مقایسه آلودگی زدایی مخروطهای گوتاپرکا با سه نوع محلول ضدعفونی کننده در مدت زمان یک دقیقه

Background and Aim: Care must be taken during root canal therapy to prevent contamination of filling materials and avoid root canal contamination. Gutta-percha cones are now widely used to fill root canals. However they are not resistant to conventional sterilization processes in moist or dry heat. To keep the aseptic chain, gutta-percha cones require rapid chair side decontamination before use...

Brain Activity Map Extraction from Multiple Sclerosis Patients Using Resting-State fMRI Data Based on Amplitude of Low Frequency Fluctuations and Regional Homogeneity Analysis

Introduction: Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is the most common non-traumatic neurological diseases of young adults. MS often reported during ages 20-62. MS affects the various anatomical parts of the central nervous system. Up to 65% of multiple sclerosis patients MS patients suffer from various problems, such as fatigue, depression, pain and sleep disorders. Unlike MRI, that only sh...
